DIY Turf Installation Tools

Installing your own artificial grass can be done and like many DIY jobs requires the right tools to make it manageable. Here's a list of items in no particular order:

1. 3 adult humans. Turf is heavy! make sure you have the people power to move it into place

2. Large turf rakes and grading devices for the prep work. Don't skip the prep work.

3. Power brush or power broom. These are essential to initially lift the fibers prior to infill of turf.

4. Walk behind compactor.

1. Ring-shank landscaping nails to secure the turf.

2. Sledgehammer

3. Spreader to evenly distribute the infill.

4. Knives, stringline, long level, et al.
